1. Biographers have available several sources for their research in their writing. Which of these sources do you think this biography used? From where did he obtain his/her information?

2. Why was this person's life important or interesting enough to be the subject of a biography?

3. What motivated the person to tell his/her own story in this autobiography?

4. When a person writes about his own life or experiences, it is sometimes difficult to be objective, completely unbiased, or honest. How objective is the autobiography you read? Explain.

5. Who or what was a great influence in the life of the person in this autobiography or biography?

6. Describe in detail, using examples from the book if you wish, the physical appearance of the person in the autobiography or biography.

7. Select an interesting incident from the book, retell it, and explain why it is important.

8. Discuss the accomplishments or achievements of this person and the obstacles he/she had to overcome.
