From the District Nurse...

Circleville City Schools Health Team actively collaborates with staff, families, students, and community resources to promote healthful lifestyles. We administer direct and indirect healthcare to aid in the reduction of communicable diseases, to improve attendance, and to encourage life-long learning and health.

What precautions can be taken at home prior to sending my child to school to mitigate the potential for illness spread?

As we strive to maintain a healthy and safe environment for our students and staff, we kindly remind you of the importance of monitoring your child for symptoms of illness. By staying vigilant and keeping children at home when they show signs of being unwell, we can significantly reduce the spread of airborne illnesses within our school community. Some symptoms can include but are not limited to the following:

  • A fever of 100.0° F or greater

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Chills

  • Repeated shaking with chills

  • Muscle pain

  • Headache

  • Sore throat

  • New loss of taste or smell
