State of the Schools
Each year, our annual State of the Schools event takes place the first week in March. The event is a student led production, showcasing the extraordinary achievements of our Tigers through the Portrait of a Circleville Tiger competencies. The night is themed as a red carpet awards ceremony featuring student-led deeper learning demonstrations. Past events have drawn enthusiastic-standing room only-crowds of parents, staff, and community members.
The evening's highlights included grand prize awards for outstanding student achievements in our five Portrait Competencies: Adaptability, Communication, Critical Thinking, Empathy, and Perseverance. The awards ceremony had all the excitement and glamour of a Hollywood event, with students walking the red carpet to receive their honors amidst cheers and applause from their peers and families.
This year's State of the Schools event proved that an academic gathering could be just as exhilarating as a traditional prom. The energy in the room was electric, with students proudly presenting their innovative classroom experiences and the community coming together to celebrate the district's commitment to deeper learning. The success of the event underscores the growing enthusiasm for learning throughout our District and highlights our staff’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded, engaged, and future ready students!
